Summer Math and Language Arts Assignments for Students Entering 2nd Grade

Dear 2nd Grade Families,

This summer we will be utilizing IXL’s Summer Boost Skill Plans as reinforcement over break. These skill plans will reinforce key concepts for the students to be best prepared for their return in September.

To complete their summer work students simply need to do the following:

• Log on to https://www.ixl.com/skill-plans
• Scroll down to IXL Summer Boost: Math or IXL Summer Boost: Language Arts. 
• Choose ‘2nd’ from the dropdown menu beneath to complete the weekly/daily skills. 
• Alternatively, you can simply bookmark:

  • https://www.ixl.com/math/skill-plans/ixl-summer-boost-grade-2

If you feel your child is already familiar with the concepts in the second grade summer review, you are welcome to move them up to a higher level instead for more of a challenge. IXL usernames and passwords have not changed, so your child should be able to log in as they have all year. If you are not sure of their login information you can reach out to the office or email me at jguthrie@notredameint.org for assistance. 

There is no need to print out any results, detailed reports about each child’s progress will be shared with your child’s teacher directly through IXL.

*Please note: New students to the Notre Dame family will need to be assigned their username and password through the office.
